Jen here ;) We are in the middle of winter, and your skin may already be feeling extra dry! If this is you, I want to share a few things we can easily do to combat these winter skin blues!
With the cold air and increased hand sanitizing, your hands may be feeling dry, itchy or even cracking. Rescue them quickly by applying our body butter, and then wearing rubber gloves to clean your dishes in hot water. When your dishes are done, your hands will be soft!
Dry cracked heels?
Apply body butter to heels just before bed (all of your foot too, if you like) and wear socks all night.
Face feeling extra dry?
Layer your moisturizers. For example, apply facial serum and toner, and then apply a small amount of body butter over that foundational layer.
Windy cold weather?
Just before braving the cold, apply natural balm on exposed areas. I apply on my cheeks, lips, and eyebrows.
More on this in another post, but if you're dehydrated, your skin will feel it. Dried out, less plump, and more prone to chap... A great goal is to drink half your body weight in ounces.
In general, using a quality body oil or body butter is a wise winter choice, since the oil percentage is 100% , as opposed to a typical lotion (10-15%). And if you apply right after a shower or bath, your skin will retain moisture and stay soft.
(by "quality" I am referring to product that is made with organic, non-GMO ingredients, avoiding anything petroleum derived, such as mineral oil & petroleum jelly.)
I hope you have a beautiful day!!!
